1930’s Medical Mir-a-kal ray Floor Lamp


The Mir-a-kal Ray lamp was manufactured by the J H Eastman Company in Detroit. This 1930’s Art Deco machine age lamp was originally intended to heal medical ailments.

This lamp has a weighted base. The height can be adjusted from 47 – 71″ as well as the angle of the shade. The original circular for the lamp claimed that it would heal everything from congestion to arthritis.

Condition: The base is rusty and and the enamel shade is peeling which adds to its patina. The lamp has been rewired and has a switch on the chord.
